About Me

Raised in California, Dr. Gonzalez first discovered her passion for medicine as a teenager volunteering at a Los Angeles community hospital. After completing her undergraduate degree she pursued her dream of becoming a physician attending the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine. She then completed her training at the UCSF Pediatrics Residency Program in San Francisco, gaining a profound understanding of the importance of comprehensive care for children.

As an advocate for a holistic approach to medicine, she emphasizes promoting healthy lifestyle choices, regular exercise and proper nutrition to optimize overall health. She believes that establishing healthy habits from an early age lays the foundation for a healthy future. In her practice, she also actively involves parents in shared decision making, creating personalized health plans that cater to each child's unique needs.

Beyond her dedication to medicine, Dr. Gonzalez nurtures her adventurous spirit by exploring the world. As a native Spanish speaker, with medical Spanish training, she has a special connection with Latin America and has been involved in research among the pediatric populations in this region. Additionally, she has worked as a medical volunteer among rural Andean communities, earning a commendation from the Peruvian Ministry of Health for her contributions. She also has a commitment to excellence beyond the patient level. She is particularly interested in quality improvement to optimize healthcare systems, enhance the patient experience and drive positive outcomes. She strives in every way to contribute to a healthier future for the children she serves.

When not tending to her patients, she embraces a healthy active lifestyle pursuing bike riding, yoga, hiking, and surfing.
